4 New Fall Styles I’m Adding To My Wardrobe
Fall fashion is hands down my favorite. The booties, cozy sweaters, the colors. I am here for all of it! My go to fall outfit will always be a cardigan, mom jeans, and booties, but this year there are some new styles I plan to add to my wardrobe! Puff Sleeves Puff sleeves first made an appearance last spring and it seems they are here to stay through fall. I love a good puff sleeve! They are so feminine and add some interest to an otherwise basic top or dress. This one I am wearing in the photo above was an Amazon find last spring and I plan to wear…

Recipe Roundup: My Four Favorite Fall Soups
When the weather starts to cool down one of the first things I crave is a bowl of chili. As soon as September hits soup becomes part of my weekly meal rotation. A warm bowl of soup on a cool day is the definition of comfort food. Meal prep for most soups is quick and easy. I love that one batch of soup can feed our family for two meals, so most weeks through fall and winter we eat soup two nights a week. I am going to share my four favorite soup recipes that my family loves. 1.Chili 1 lb. ground beef, browned (seasoned with chili powder, garlic powder,…

4 YouTube Fitness Channels I Love
I have been working out at home long before we were all forced to due to quarantine. I love the convenience of it and know if I had to drive to the gym I would be less likely to fit my workout in each day. I have tried a variety of at home workouts including paid subscriptions, but always seem to come back to these four YouTube channels. The best part of these workouts is they are all for a price of zero dollars and use minimal equipment. The equipment( if any) required for these workouts is: resistance bands, dumbbells, and a kettle bell. Christine Salus If you love a…

5 Mood Lifters to Help you Feel Happier
2020 has been year like none of us were expecting. At the beginning of the year we were all making goals and focusing on our “2020 vision.” The first year of a new decade had to be a good one, right?! And then Covid happened. Soon we all realized those goals we set and visions we created most likely wouldn’t be happening. Vacations were cancelled. School was cancelled. Concerts, social gatherings, church, going out to eat, shopping….ALL cancelled. We all quickly learned we are not in control and might as well settle into this “new normal.” But this new normal is not how any of us want to live our…

Life on the Farm: 5 Things I’ve Learned About Farming
I grew up in small town Minnesota where almost everyone is a farmer, has a uncle or grandpa who is farmer, or works for a farmer. Although I grew up surrounded by farming I never thought I would marry a farmer and knew nothing about it. And if I’m being completely honest I had no interest in it. I thought farming meant smelly livestock, yards crowded with equipment, long hours, and hard work. It is all those things but it is so much more than that. Here are five things I have learned about farming since being a farm wife. 1) It is a family affair. My husband grew up…

Meet the Giese’s
Hi! We are the Giese’s! We live in rural Minnesota on the family farm. Sheridan and I were married in 2010 and in 2011 we built a home right across the road from where Sheridan grew up. Sheridan wouldn’t have it any other way. As a little boy he dreamed of farming and spent hours playing with toy tractors. When he wasn’t playing with them he was riding in them with his dad. He loves farming and it truly is his passion. When he isn’t farming he also loves snowmobiling, hunting, and wood working. He spends more time outside than in. He is a family man and loves to spend…
