4 YouTube Fitness Channels I Love
I have been working out at home long before we were all forced to due to quarantine. I love the convenience of it and know if I had to drive to the gym I would be less likely to fit my workout in each day. I have tried a variety of at home workouts including paid subscriptions, but always seem to come back to these four YouTube channels. The best part of these workouts is they are all for a price of zero dollars and use minimal equipment. The equipment( if any) required for these workouts is: resistance bands, dumbbells, and a kettle bell.
Christine Salus
If you love a good HIIT workout Christine’s workouts are for you! I have been doing her workouts for about three years now. She has so many to choose from and they vary in length anywhere from 20 minutes to 1 hour. In the description of her videos she writes a breakdown of the moves and an estimate of calories burned so you know what to expect (or if you feel like doing those particular moves). Her workouts are intense and I always work up a good sweat. She films the workouts in her apartment so they can all be done in a small space. If you don’t like jumping she also has silent HIIT workouts which are equally, if not more, intense. There is no music in her videos, but you could always play your own. A few of my favorite videos of hers are:
20 Minute Silent HIIT With Lower Body Burnout
Nourish Move Love
Lindsey is so encouraging and talks you through the entire workout. She is a fellow Minnesota girl and mom of two. During her workouts she always talk a little bit about mom life and is so relatable! Most of her workouts are circuit style and combine both strength and cardio. They range in a length of 20-40 minutes and she even has some short 10 minutes one that target a certain body part. When the workouts get tough she always say her cute little line “holy bananas!” She films her workouts in a clean, cute studio and you feel like you are getting one on one personal training. Her workouts are guaranteed to make you sweat and sore!
A few of my favorites are:
Blogilates
Cassey Ho is the instructor of Blogilates and has a fun, bubbly personality. Listening to her talk you through her workouts helps the time to fly by. She has hundreds of workouts and they all target a certain body part. Most of her workouts are around ten minutes so they can be easily added on to your workout, or be mixed and matched to create a full workout. She also has monthly workout calendars you can follow! She has her own fitness clothing and is always wearing cute workout gear. She has made hundreds of workouts, so you never have to worry about getting bored with them. With her fun personality, variety of moves, and music in the videos I don’t know how you possibly could.
My favorites:
30 Minute Extreme Pilates Thigh Workout
10 Minute Beautiful Thigh Sculpt
Heather Robertson
Heather has a variety of HIIT workouts ranging from 10 minutes to one hour. She does not talk during her workouts, but has upbeat music playing during them. She also has a timer in the corner of the screen so you know how long to do each move. I love her no repeat workouts because, as you could probably guess, you don’t have to repeat any of the moves. She has workout calendars and a free 12 week workout plan.

With the hundreds of workouts on these channels and thousands of other channels to choose from the options are endless. I love that these require minimal equipment and if you are short on time they have plenty of options that are quick and effective. I hope you try and love them too!
